Summer events

There is so much to do this weekend. We already wrote about the Hague food festival on our Instagram account TheHague4you and we want to remind you that this weekend the huge free-entry of the Hague foodfestival is going to take place in Huijgenspark. Click on here to read more about this event.

There is also ‘What The Fork?!’ Foodtruckfestival, NK Beach Soccer and ‘Go Selfie The Hague’ in Scheveningen.

More events are ‘Boulevard of Golden Oldies’ at Beach Resort Kijkduin and Submarinefestival. You can join the bubbling party in club Lustig, free entrance only for the ladies till 01.00 hr.

We have also Haags Indoor festival and Haags Beat Festival but those are not free-entry festivals.

What The Fork?!? Foodtruckfestival

22 and 23 of July, 12.00 – 22.00 hrs. at De Pier in Scheveningen. Free entrance.

After the succes of the first edition ‘What The Fork ?!?’ Indoor foodtruckfestival followed the second new edition of this culinary atmospheric and cozy festival at the special location above the sea, De Pier! More than 15 foodtrucks and food bikes and fixed venues represent craft-made products with a story. In addition to the range of delicious dishes, ‘What The Fork ?!?’ presents also handmade & delicatessen market. Try the delicious products.

NK Beach soccer 

22 and 23 of July, 09.00 – 17.00 hrs. in the Hague Beach Stadium in Scheveningen. Free entrance.

The Dutch Soccer Championships for teams will be held in the Hague Beach Stadium at Scheveningen. In tournament form, the teams compete for a national championship for a weekend on the sand. In the Netherlands, a tournament was organized for the first time in 1996. Since 2003, Holland Beach Soccer started with the Open Dutch Championship.

If you want to witness this spectacular sporting event? Then come to the Hague Beach Stadium, take part in the stands and encourage the teams!

The Hague Beach Stadium is right next to the Northern Harbor head at the beach of Scheveningen. The stadium is easily reached by car and bicycle. By car, take the best route to Scheveningen Harbor from the highway and you can park your car close to the location. The stadium is also well accessible by public transport. Several trams from The Hague Central Station ( lines 1 and 16) and Hollands Spoor ( line 11) stop near the Hague Beach Stadium.

Go Selfie The Hague

Make a spectacular selfie this weekend on the top of De Pier in Scheveningen with the skyline of the Hague in the background! The innovative concept ‘ Go Selfie’ from is for the first time in the Netherlands this weekend on the Hague coast. At ‘Go Selfie’, an interactive photo is taken from 250 meters away, spectacularly zooming from close-up to a complete panoramic view of the boulevard of Scheveningen.

Go Selfie was developed by from Belgium. The Hague is the first Dutch city to offer this innovative concept to visitors. You do not use your own phone to make this special selfie, this is created with a special device of Go Selfie. The selfie photo will then be sent to you for free in your mailbox after which you can share it extensively through various social media channels.

The Hague Go Selfie hangs once in the bungytower this weekend to take pictures of people at De Pier. Halfway through the top of De Pier there is a stage where you can make your special panorama selfie with the skyline of The Hague in the background. So come to De Pier for a unique selfie! Boulevard of Golden oldies

Kijkduin is easy to reach. From the highway you have to take the exit Den Haag Zuid-west (The Hague South West) to get into the seaside resort. In Kijkduin you can park your car for free and therefore the seaside resort is the ideal beach location to go by car. Public transport also provides easy access to the seaside town: buses 23 and 24 drive to Kijkduin.

Submarine festival

22 of July, 17.00 – 05.00 hrs in PIP Den Haag, Binckhorstlaan 36 (BINK36 terrain) in The Hague. Free entrance. Age only from 18 and older.

You can expect a wide range of alternative music on multiple indoor and outdoor on stages, especially bands and acts you will not seen at other Hague festival.

PIP Den Haag is easily reached by car and public transport. Located in the Laakkwartier, it is close to the highway and also close to several trainstations. Station The Hague Central is the closest and can be reached by foot from PIP. From trainstation Holland Spoor, it is a 15 minute walk to PIP. Adress is Binckhorstlaan 36 (BINK36 terrain)

Haags Beat festival

23 of July, 13.00 at Zuiderparktheater in the Hague, entrance: 10 euro.

Stichting Popagenda Scheveningen presents the Haags Beat festival in collaboration with the Zuiderparktheater. The organization and the open air theater would like to bring a tribute to the artists who have put The Hague on the map forever in the history of pop music.

The organization has compiled a program: George Baker, Jan Akkerman & my brainbox, Rob Bolland, The Crazy Rockers, Pat Smith, Hello Venray, The Stangs, The Scarlets, PlusSupportAct, Florence Rockt and more. Further artists from the Beatgeneration share beautiful anecdotes. Who these artists are remains a surprise.

There is also a traditional Indonesian caterer and various colorful foodtrucks inside the gates of the open air theater. The organization makes the festival complete with eating, drinking, chatting, meet & greet, dancing and enjoying music.

Haags Indoor Festival

23 of July, 14.00 – 23.00 hrs., at Opera zalencentrum, adress is Fruitweg 28, The Hague.

The first edition of the Haags festival, indoor festival of the Hague. There is a big line up of artists that you dont want to miss. There will be 2 areas stages. Regular ticket cost 15 euros and Meet&Greet ticket 30 euros. The festival is for all ages.
